View Full Version : GE WAR COUNCIL: A history of continous mishaps

I decided to start this new thread to clarify in an independent way the Council's story:

1. We all agree that this is a war game, with powerful and weak players, constantly changing
2. We all agree that by being a war game there are supposed to be attacks with no mercy
3. We all agree that occasionally a player can be bullied over reasonable limits (from the bullied perspective) and many times won't have any instance to ask for help

Based on this premises a group of players from different alliances and independently to their alliance commitments started a discussion in the chat room that gave form to some initial goals for creating a GE WAR COUNCIL. This basic document was intended to be an introduction of an idea fro the Admins to criticize it and if so they wished to create a forum where this basic document could be presented to the gewar community for criticism and if possible for creating the council. The council was proposed to be formed by some of the top 20 players and open for an equal number of proposed players from the whole ranks and be voted. Also the whole idea of the council was to have an open and clear forum where ideas could be exchanged and voted after hearing anyone's complains of abuse and, if both parties recognize the council's ruling then so be it, if not then, and only then, the council could be able to try to enforce it's ruling.

Unfortunately a mayhem of posts and replies has been started everywhere over a project that wasn't finished for its presentation to the community.

If all these mishaps prevent the original idea of having a council, then so be it... It would be great if we, the players, including those in favour and those against the council concept, give it a chance to be REALLY, TRUTHFULLY AND FULLY INTRODUCED TO THE COMMUNITY before condemning it to die...

Thank you all...

Cheers and have fun

Here's the thing though: It's such an incredibly minor problem (bullying of noobs to an unreasoanble extent)that all the fuss over it (this post included) is almost completely unwarranted.

No one can KEEP any group of players from forming an unoffical group known as the GeWar council. I'm thinking of starting a Cheese club. So what? It's nothing to debate. If you want to make a GeWar council, feel free to make one and to carry out whatever actions. But it has no more legitimacy then my cheese club. It's just another club, or group, or council, or whatever you want to call it.

You are completely correct AK-7, and this is the message we have been trying to send out. And everyone is making a huge fuss over it. Thank you.

Apparently this thread has been hijacked, which begs the question: Do we really need another thread on this subject at the moment?

or do we rather ask the question, how many threads can we make on this forum filled with people saying they think the thread is useless (and thus giving it use?).

aha, think about that!

your brain explode yet?
