rather then having to select each army to move to a location, would it be possible to implement a feature where you could select multiple armys and pick its destination just once for the group of armys?

or
a way to type multiple characters of a city name, to narrow the search down for a city name?

right now we're forced to sort thru hundreds of city names.. no searching, no copy and paste function.. and if you have multiple armys it gets frustrating fast

from the coding side, .... easy to do, or no go?

I agree i would also like if this was availible. I do have to admit it does get annoying but i have delt with it since day one so if it does change i can deal with it. ;)

Ever heard of the SEARCH function?

Both have been mentioned many times, don't think it is of high priority though.

And what is so hard about searching through a list in alphabetical order? or just using the Ctrl+F (Find) thingy.

I'd rather not waste my time, I have better things like work to do for example...

AJAX!!! AJAX must be used for this!

Well it might be a waste of your time to search, but someone posting stuff that has already been mentioned is a waste of everyone elses time

And what is with all these links to external sources that you keep posting? are you getting paid or something???:sad

a way to type multiple characters of a city name, to narrow the search down for a city name?

Click the base or city drop down and then push the first 2 letters of the name really quick and you'll be very close to it in the list. You can do more characters if you hold them down as you type.

I'm using Firefox so your mileage may vary.

I agree, posting without searching is bad, but I was referring to searching through the city list...

What external soruces? The internet you mean? :) If you can show me where I can find some internal sources on AJAX, I would be greatful. If I got payed $1 for everytime I post a link on a forum, I would be a billionaire now, so no, I don't get payed for links.

Ok, Well I was talking about searching threads, you were talking about searching cities...
And as I said before:

More the fact that you have posted several links lately and I obviously didn't understand/see the relevance. But what has AJAX (I am assuming you are talking about the Java/xml thing) got to do with this?
The getting paid bit was a joke...

Sorry if I offended you

I'm sorry but you contradict yourself.

You were talking about searching through the list of cities, I was talking about searching through cities, AJAX could be used there just perfectly, ideal use for it! If you follow the link you will understand how... don't worry no spyware, viruses, trojans, rootkits, etc... will be installed on your computer... ;)

Don't worry about me getting offended, not likely to happen... I'm a very sensible and rational person :)

Ok, now back on topic...

All the multi armies thing needs in check boxes for the armies you want, then you choose the location.

Still not sure what the problem with the cities thing is...Alphabetical order isn't too hard to understand...(I'm assuming you are talking about the drop down box)

I like the suggestion to have a search function... .. altho there is nothing wrong with the alphabetical list.

I have no problem understanding or finding the cities I need, it's the time I waste finding them that I don't like. First the page takes longer to load, with all city names and homebases... if AJAX was used on the other hand none of the city names have to be downloaded in advance, only when the user puts in the first few letters relevant matches are downloaded...
