has anybody figured out how to pull up a Gewar KMZ file on Google Earth on the Ipad?

Not that worried about building resources, would just like to have the Cities and who owns them come up.

Thx for your feedback.

And always, thanks to the Luke and the mods for everything they do.

Just was looking through some apps came across KML Maps HD. Would this app let gewar kmz file work on iPad?

I can't seem to get it working either! They should create an iPhone/iPod/iPad GEWar app.

The thing is that Google Earth for the iphone/ipod/ipad doesn't support kml files. I can't program an application for iOS (for example no c++ skills).

So I'm waiting for a developer to release an app that supports importing of kml files. Either that or apple iOS should start supporting kml files, so that when you open them in the browser it recognises them as a google earth extension, and automatically open google earth.

KML Maps: dont think so. The first review I read is that it's very limited in the different kind of tags it supports....and guess what: gewar uses non-standard ones.

ps: Dalek Caan was one of the old original Daleks....the new Daleks have build-in Apple Macs complete with a full Google Earth and GPS support. You should try upgrading your Dalek(ask some cybermen for help if you can't do it alone).

Luke, I've had a look around google and came across this
http://www.myfirstmobileapp.com/iphone/#panel-1

if you could hold an event to raise money (like movember, people donate money) you could possible raise enough money to make an iphone GEWar app

Just an idea, moght not work

No Dalek Caan actually destroyed himself and the entire Dalek species(before them magicaly reappearing in a new form a year and a half later) after having gone mad and dissagreeing with what Daleks did. So indeed he still doesn't have to worry about it though ;)

*jeeez I'm a doctor who nerd*

I'll check out the link, Osprey.

*jeeez I'm a doctor who nerd* You know what you just did? You forced me to rewatch Journey's End...

No Dalek Caan actually destroyed himself and the entire Dalek species(before them magicaly reappearing in a new form a year and a half later) after having gone mad and dissagreeing with what Daleks did. So indeed he still doesn't have to worry about it though ;)And guess what I found? Dalek Caan asked the Doctor "I have seen the end of everything dalek, and you must make it happen, Doctor". Which he (the part-human, angry one) then does using some feedback foo. But we see neither Caan nor Davros actually die, they may have teleported out before the crucible blew up.

Just sayin' :blush2

I know. I summed it up by saying Caan did it, because he made the doctor be there as he wanted it ;). And Caan had teleport abilities, but Davros didn't. But the writes, Davies, wasn't arrogant enough to show him die...as he knew probably a future writer might want to write another story with Davros in it.

Now how did a thread about gewar on an iphone/ipod/ipad become a thread about Doctor Who? ;). This time it might be my fault because of the joke I made of dalekcaan.
