I purchased an army last week, I didnt attack any city, no-one attacked me, and yet i've lost 99 of the 100 troops? I was in the red for a few hours but even after than I had 88 troops left? Have they deserted me?! If so i'll take matters in to my own hands , else where did they go :(?

Thanks

Paddy

If you didnt have any money out of the bank they may have been dying of starvation - Read this thread for more info (http://www.gewar.net/forums/showthread.php?t=106)

Patrickf, your money is in the bank.
You need the money in your useable funds or they will keep on dying(or deserting to Timmetie which is worse).

Can we put this on the grand to-do list too? I've had a debit card for nearly a decade that will pull money directly from my bank account regardless of what I have on hand. Can't we work out something in this game where troop costs will pull from savings if there's nothing on hand? And then there's the matter of buying resources; there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to pay for them directly out of your bank account.

Actually Mickey made this on purpose. So you had an extra thing to do and that was watching your own account.
Look, we don't want to make everything too easy. Most suggestions are making stuff easier, but when it gets too easy, it might get a little boring too.
I agreed with Mickey here that it was a good idea letting people watch their useable funds as well.

I agree it shouldn't be too easy - being forced to keep on eye on your cash-at-hand and bank account adds to the balance of the game IMHO.

However what if we had a scenario where, if you had no cash, the system then goes to your bank account but as well as debiting the required amount adds a bank fee for having to do so. If you have nothing in the bank your armies then go back to starving to death (or joining Timmy). We quite happily accept interest from the bank - surely we should face the conseuqences on the other side of the coin.

This penalises the player financially and adds an extra dimension to the game.

And let's face it, you can't get more realistic than the inevitability of bank fees.
