OK, I think this should basically end up being the final rules for all future Rabbit Hunt games. It is similar, but different in a number of key ways. It will not be so important to be on playing it all the time for one. And you'll have a LOT more than one chance to win or affect the outcome :)

Objective:
Kill the WereRabbit army.
Prizes for first hit, most hits, last hit (kill)

Rules:

WereRabbit will be an army somewhere between 1k and 10k in size.
WereRabbit will move around from homebase to homebase. (Nothing fancy, if the wererabbit is pointed at a homebase, it WILL land there for a period of time)
WereRabbit will wait at a homebase upon landing for a MINIMUM of 5 minutes. Possibly a LOT more.
The object is to 'take shots' at WereRabbit when it lands at a homebase.
The game will be over when WereRabbit falls.

Attacking:

You can attack WereRabbit ONLY ONCE per stopover.
You can attack WereRabbit with 100 man armies ONLY.
If you attack WereRabbit more than once at any stopover, or with an army bigger than 100 men, you will be disqualified from the round.
You are allowed to use bigger armies for other purposes however.
Each 'Attack' on WereRabbit costs 25 geos to be registered. Your attacks MUST be registered before attacking to count.
To register an attack, Send WaywardTraveller 25 geos, and the name of the army you are registering. PM me the transaction detains. Once you receive confirmation that your army is registered, you can use it to attack WereRabbit.
ALL registration fees go into the prize pot.
You may register as many armies as you like at any time during the course of the game.
There will be NO refunds for registered armies that are not used before the end of the Game.
ANYONE can play. All you have to do is register your armies to hit the WereRabbit.

Disqualifications:
The following will get players disqualified from the round: NO refunds to be given to disqualified players. As well, if you are disqualified, you are not eligible for ANY of the prizes, even if you legitimately hit the WereRabbit before being disqualified.

Hitting the WereRabbit with an unregistered army
Hitting the WereRabbit with an army bigger than 100 men
Hitting the WereRabbit more than once at a single stopover

Prizes:
NOTE: All prizes are a percentage of the entire prize pot at the END of the round.
Prizes are paid out AFTER the WereRabbit is finally defeated and the game ends.
All Prizes WILL be awarded.
First hit on WereRabbit: 20%
Most hits on WereRabbit: 30%
Last hit on WereRabbit: 50%

Final Notes:
WereRabbit will move a couple of times a day. Stops will be many hours apart. Stops will cover the entire world. EVERYONE should be able to get involved. This game will last a variable amount of time that depends on how many times WereRabbit stops...and how many people get involved. I expect it to last a number of days. Tactics will be VERY beneficial here. This _should_ get quite interesting :)

Oh, and I've thrown 500 geos into the prize pot to get things rolling :)

Standings:
Armies Registered: 21
Shots Taken: 18
Prize Pool: 1025 geos

First Hit: Grimsacre
Most Hits Leader: Hurcoll (9)
Last Hit(kill):

Players that have registered armies: (hits)
Grimsacre (5)
Mercury (2)
Mogenson
Hurcoll (9)
Freeroc (2)

Disqualified Players:
HixTheBeast* (Killed off WereRabbit)

Game On!!!

I've sent the geos - PM'd, ICq'd and emailed. I know you're offline at the moment but I hope this all means I can be registered to hit the rabbit. :)

Grimsacre!

Registered.

I will always check all army registrations, and leave time for them to be used, before I move the WereRabbit.

(IE, I won't come online, move the rabbit, then check for army registrations)

UPDATE: HOWEVER, you still can NOT take a shot until registration of your army HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.

First hit of the game was with an army that wasn't officially registered. (Confirmation hadn't been sent) This shot will not count towards the 'First Hit' prize or the 'Most Hits' prize. Wait for confirmation before you take your shots!!!

Since this was the first infraction I will not disqualify the offender. THIS time.

11:15:19 - February 12th, 2006 Your army WereRabbit was attacked by grimsacre outside the home base of Timmetie.Your army was not killed in the battle, but you lost 39 troops. 100 attacking troops were killed.

We have our First Hit winner!

Grimsacre will receive 20% of the final pot when the round ends, congradulations!

We've got 2 legitimate hits on the WereRabbit at this point.

There is some big money to be had, but you'll have to join in for a chance at it :)

Slowly but surely hunters are picking up the trail of the WereRabbit!

Word from the hunters is that the WereRabbit is now somewhere in Africa, but appears to be looking a bit restless.

Get your armies in! The pot just keeps growing!

Just ask Aravan and Hurcoll, lots of geos to be had :) But you'll have to join in to get at them!!!

WaywardTraveller

Pot's slowly growing...and it'll get a LOT bigger before this is done!

Get out there and join in! Can't win if you don't play!

I dont know if its is possible just to nuke an army but if it was or is . What if someone nuked the rabbit would they be disqualified or would they win ???Given that the rules say:
You can attack WereRabbit with 100 man armies ONLY.I would imagine that you would be disqualified.

WaywardTraveller

Yes, you would absolutely be disqualified, and possibly hunted to the ends of the earth as well :)

Not too worried about that one though, you can't nuke homebases. Yet...

I see the rabbit had a nice visit with gr33n overnight...looks well rested...where's he off to now?

...where's he off to now?
I know, and I'm going to charge him rent too. My guess is that it's not very cheap to live in Atka, Alaska. And watch out for the seals, they bite.

You charge rent to the rabbits in your yard?

Can the poor bunnies not get a break!

Mr_Fuzzypaws

You charge rent to the rabbits in your yard?

You better believe it. I'm gonna have to charge him for corpse removal too, 0.01 geos per troop. So if the rabbit lives through those 3 armies someone owes me 3 geos.

This Just In! The WereRabbit is outside of Luke's homebase!

Something else for you to do while you're hanging out there!

25 geos a hit! The pot's at 1000 geos already!

Since Hix killed the WereRabbit off, the game has been called.

Since no one had the last hit, I will award 40% to the first hit, Grimsacre, and 60% to the most hits, Hurcoll.

Thanks to those select few that participated.

Ah you mean hix killed it but didn't participate in the game right?

He was probably consumed in the other game of being the last one standing outside my homebase.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean.
Annoying as he knew I was running the game, could have pm'd me, but whatever.
Wasn't enough participation anyways, which was why I sent the army to your homebase, trying to drum up participation.

Ah well.

Thanks for running the game WT - the idea is a really good one - it's a shame more people didn't take it up as tactics might have played a greater part.

I think it's possible you made too many rules. Last game, lots of people participated. I noticed that these new rules, are a lot more annoying than the previous one. Maybe you could just create future Rabbit Hunts based on Rabbit Hunt #1+2.

The reason is people only want to participate for a chance at _easy_ money. Wererabbit hunt was set up to require strategy. Too much for most people to bother with apparently. Unfortunate, but what can you do.

I'm working on a new game that should be more accessible to all. It will be a game that will be scheduled to run at particular times in particular places so it will be easier for people to get involved. Coming soon :)
