Uninstall Google Earth and re-install it...
Re-download the jewel hunting tool...
Clear your cache in your IE...

Try that...

I have been noticing some problems with the actual locations of certain jewels...for example, the Pike's Peak Jewel is NOT on Pike's Peak. While it is fairly close, a GE search for Pike's Peak won't get you the jewel, you have to zoom back out and move east. Can this problem be fixed? :rock

Currently no, becuase all the jewel locations were taken automatically from KMLs found over at GEH (http://www.googleearthhacks.com). So if the KMLs are wrong, the locations are wrong

Did you download the KML with all the jewel locations? To use that instead of looking everywhere?
