Okay, I heard today for the first time this was once implented already in an old test game, but now has vanished, anyway my idea on outposts
1. An outpost in an mobile homebase
2. You can place one just like the homebase selector, so an ken kmz file
3. Theres a cap on how many you can have, I tought about à continental and an worldwide cap
4. Just like homebases, You cant build them near cities and should be on land
5. There needs to be some distance between your hombase and outposts, or between an outpost and an outpost
6. Outposts shouldn"t be cheap; The first one should be cheaper than the next one and so one
7. An outposts would need to be built by geos, oil and maybe some other resource
8. It costs for example 36 hours to be ready
9. You need to pay daily maintenance, the second should be more expansive than the second one and so one
10. An outpost can: station troops, reinforce them, built new troops (optional: launch nukes)
11. Limits: only 5 armies can stay inside, and you can only built 5 new armies each 24h and 1 nuke lauch à day(example)
12. You can increase the limit, by upgrading the capacity of the outpost, this should take time and high cost
13 optional: city walls and nuke shields
(following points are optional)
14. natural disasters have a small change to strike, causing troops to die
15. troops can not damage the outpost, but nukes can, then the capacity will be lowered, and not useable for 36h worst-case: complete destruction
with the oil-army function, outposts would be even more usefull, tell me what you think of it, great or need it some changes here and there?
T. (typing this with an iPod *sigh*
