if the change is truly random btw -3% n 3% then mathematically it is unwise to invest in stock because on the long run it should even out to zero.
how come the creators of this game dont realize this???
its better to just leave the money in the bank for the fixed 3.75% interest.
the stockmarket makes no d*** sense.
only thing you can do is buy stock n once u get a lil profit...sell immediately cos it wont last.
a more sensible option will be to make the changes random btw say -4% n 10% or make them vary differently for different stock options which makes the stockmarket more interesting.
just my two cents...criticism might seem harsh but its true except i didnt totally get how the stock market works.

well, buy it when it is 3% down and sell when it is 3% up...... Although my experience puts the swing in about 10% down to 10% up over average territory.
The GEWar stockmarket is not a long term buy and hold scenario. Your critisism sarcastically states that you should "buy stock n once u get a lil profit...sell immediately". Well that's what I do, and many others. It's much easier than jewel hunting.

Then you get a graph and follow the basic principle of buy low sell high. Which earned me 800 geos last night. :nana
To his 'critisism':
We actually changed it into this way because people were making TOO much money out of the stockmarket.
And I keep a close eye on statistics and see people are still making money.
85% of the people win money instead of losing it.
A 15% loses first, but just doesn't sell until it rises again.
You can't really lose money on it...when it goes down you just have to be more patient.
Unless you are ignorant and buy them when they are at a top price, you can't really lose money on it.

I don't see the stockmarket being random, there is a definite trend
for the whole market as a whole and for individual stocks...
If you take the daily graphs of individual stocks and draw a line
connecting the price in the beginning of the day and the end, you will
see than the lines for most shares are very close to being parallel, not one line
crosses another line... coincidence? I think not! :)
Need I illustrate this, or is it clear what I mean?

actually you can. if you put 2500 in and it takes 24 hours for you to get to 100 geos proffit then you've basically broken even because in that time you could have made that much in interest.
if someone leaves 2500 in the market for 10 days and makes 500 proffit on their sale then they've essentially lost 500 that they could have earned in interest.
as for the original post, you're dead wrong. if you pay attention to things and esspecially if you use McLamb's website info, you can easily make 500 to 1000 daily.

Speaking of McLamb's site...
I just made 1k in about 8 hours. :D
I've used a total of about 30 geos on his site, and made probably 2-3k with it. There's a bargain for you. 10000% return.

All the stocks have hit a 7 day high in the last few hours, could that be by chance??? Something fishy around here... why are the shares correlated?
