I have started the next Odd Man In game for Geos. The grand prize is 2000 Geos again, but there are no prizes for 2nd and 3rd. There are consolation prizes of 200 Geos each to the person with the most kills (Killer award) and the one who gets shot the most (Swiss Cheese award). The prizes for Killer and Swiss Cheese only count if they are also not the winner of the game.

The rules of this game are exactly the same as the last except there is a shrinking assassination list. That means that you will only see in the list the people that are still alive. That should make the latter rounds a little more tense for those that are still alive.

Like I was telling people before the last game, spread the word. The more people we have in the game, the better off everybody will be -- especially now that there is a shrinking assassination list.

If we can get the number of players over 30, I'll see what I can do about increasing the prize money. We have enough players that it should be an easy goal to reach, so pass the word to all your alliance members, friends, enemies, strangers, etc.

I meant to bring this up before the last game, but it doesn't hurt to mention it now. It's against the OMI rules to discuss strategy of the game outside OMI. That means that you can't get together with your alliance members and reveal who you are (even indirectly) and plan who to shoot or not to shoot.

I'm sure that you can all see how that would be unfair if a big alliance all joined OMI and planned their strategy on their alliance forum. Not that anybody did that or would do that, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

I suggest that instead you have a 2500 first place, 500 second, and the 200 for the KP and swiss cheese. Of course only if 30 people sign up. By the way, do you have unlimted geos for admin games (sorry for that last random question. I'm curious though)

So far, all the Geos have come out of my own account, but if we get over 30 people, I'll be begging Luke to chip in some because I'll be bankrupt at that point.

About how long will it take for the next one to start?

It depends on how long it takes this one to finish and when I get motivated to start another one. I'm out of OMI tokens, so I'll have to donate to bengarvey.com to be able to start another game -- that will take at least 10 minutes of my time to make that happen and since I'm a whimsical combination of lazy and forgetful, it adds another delicious wrinkle.

Expect one around the end of this month or the beginning of next month.

It is something else - hopefully more will try it next time - good prizes to be won for a few minutes a day.

Really simple in concept but the way it is put together makes it really effective.
