A new resource is active. For donators only. As well as a reward for them, as to make sure we don't see dozens of multiple accounts just to create some cheap nukes.

A mine costs 50 geos, and will give you between 80-120 carats of uranium a day(mind you that it won't last long though).

At the moment you need 5000 carats of uranium + 1000 (development costs) geos to create the nuke.

You can't sell your uranium carats yet, because the marketplace isn't active yet. This will be finished in one of the coming days.

I thought I'd start the Uranium mines already, to get some uranium in the game before the marketplace becomes active.

So you have a choice...
1) Don't buy uranium mines
2) Buy them and save for nukes
3) Buy them and save to sell on the marketplace to make some geos. I'm looking forward to seeing a war on marketprices.

As said, the marketplace will come shortly. This will be for all players, so donators AND non-donators will be able to create nukes. But the donators will pretty much decide the price you will eventually pay for nukes.

The city of Irkutsk is now a resource city! So there are now 4 resource cities in the game.

*edit: Important to know that the amount of uranium given might change in the coming days. This is to start and let it be tested by the players.

*edit2: at this moment I set the maximum you can have of Uranium at 1,000,000. Might lower this if we have reason to. A maximum of 10,000 might cause problems if you can use this resource on the marketplace.

Excellent. This should make Russia more interesting now.

Definately that indeed. The owner of Irkutst will be the nuke king or queen, or could earn a lot from selling his uranium to those saving for another nuke fest.

I advise the alliance of Kaltho to warn him in advance.

Really really hard playing as a drone now......

things are changing only for donators.....

If you are talking about newbies, then there is something coming for them also. Seabases which function as cities, but can't be hit by none other than newbies.

And as for donators, I believe these functions were it for now, as promised some time ago. They wanted extra's, they deserved it, they pay for a game that the drones play for free :). Next stuff that is for donators only, is stuff like stats only.

Also like said, there was no way to introduce uranium if it was for all players. Too easy to cheat on a massive scale with multiple accounts.

And for those drones that can't afford donatorship, or are too young, there are always players selling donatorship for geos.

are you creating the Nuke Silo in order to launch a nuke? or just sell in market place? How do we buy nukes? Once we get 5000Karats??

It'll be a good battle between 3rd and WTO over the city :big_boss

even for intercepted armies....

Yeah maybe you're right, I miss my donator time, potty mouth me I did only 1 year when there was still the unlimited time donatorship on...
Anyway keep always in mind and every donator is in the beginning a drone...

May I be a n00b too?
:)

Bless Luke and keep up the good work!!!!

Also, now, whenever I go to convert resources, IO have to do it manually, one by one, because I need the uraniun..

Nice one...

Luke

It's probably got something to do with your signature eh?

Anyway...once more then:

Uranium can't be converted. You have 2 options when actually buying the uranium mines. That is to either build nukes, or to sell the uranium on the marketplace to other players.

Marketplace will be online one of the coming days. On the marketplace uranium can be bought by non-donators as well.

You still need 2 cities to build a nuke.

Irkutsk get's 5% of all uranium mined.

That's it I think...

Foskasse - you can do a lot of things with uranium (and you probably have), but it will never convert - no matter what.

I dont like it!!!!

Looks like i'm gonna have to wait till Luke make the bonus work for the resource city.

Or maybe it's different compared to the other cities. :D

Luke
05-01-2009, 05:45 PM
No it works the same. And as far as I can see you are also receiving it(remember there only a few uranium mines at this moment so you won't receive much yet...as with every resource city right after a reset for example).

Amphibious_Donkey
05-01-2009, 05:54 PM
Oh ok but it don't show in the Financial Overview like there other for now. Dam looks like i'm gonna wait a very long time. ;clap

Luke
05-01-2009, 05:57 PM
You can't convert uranium. So it can't be shown in the financial overview. You either build nukes with it, or (as soon as it's active) try to sell it for the price you want in the marketplace. But as there you decide your own price, the financial overview can't predict anything as far as uranium.

That i know....so basicly the only way we can see is sort of in the market place?
If i get it right or say understand it as for the market place.

LOL Luke never mind wat i ask i get it now were the 5% go now. i'm usually better with numbers or when i see things.

This is me being slow again :666

So...where is this market

Luke
05-08-2009, 10:02 PM
Personal business intervened with finishing it. And because personal business intervened with my dayjob as well, I even gotta work tomorrow(weekends are when I usually finish features of gewar, but not this time). So I'm sorry to say it's been set back about 10 days(counting all days I have to work next week). Even though it was already almost finished, I then have to test it to make sure there are no holes that in it that anyone can abuse.

Melek~Taus

That's not good enough luke :p

Obviously there is no problem, take the time. Personel and work come before a game. Try and enjoy the weekend.

Because there is still a bug in it and see the need that some want to be able to transfer uranium fast right now, I opened a Marketplace subforum in Gewar Talk.

And with this function you can transfer the Uranium after making a deal: http://www.gewar.net/war/uraniumdeposit.php

Not the idea fix, but still a quick temporary fix.

Hey Luke,

And the price of the Nuke will be 1k geos only, or something is wrong?

roberto.

Luke
05-12-2009, 05:35 PM
That can be tweaked. But the price is 1000 geos + 5000 of uranium. And that 5000 of uranium can be quite expensive.

Oh, Ok. I understood now... I was thinking it would be 1k OR 5000 uranium!!!

So, a person is not allowed to buy nukes without uranium anymore?

ikan
05-12-2009, 05:37 PM
what if someone give away uranium to mates, but not selling?? the marketplace would be meaningless :(

I think that is your own choice Ikan, give it away to someone or sell it :)

mmmm. how exactly can we trade uranium?

Starbuck
05-12-2009, 07:27 PM
you can either give it directly to another player or sell it here (http://www.gewar.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=55)...

Must I do a picture so I can be understood?

What you saying is that If I post in that thread, my uranium will magically be tranfered?

nice

Starbuck
05-13-2009, 04:31 AM
If you give it to someone then yes it'll obviously dissapear :) if you sell it on the market then you have to wait for a buyer, get your geos and then transfer the uranium to him/her !!

sagetab
05-13-2009, 07:28 AM
For those who haven't seen it yet... here is how you transfer. On left hand column where your resources are....

Uranium

Dig a uranium mine (../war/resource_uranium.php)
View your uranium mines (../war/youruraniummines.php)
Transfer Uranium (../war/uraniumdeposit.php)

Simple, see? :D

For a moment i forgot it was winter over there, just looked at the 18°C you have for wednesday and then frowned at the 38°C i got today, and it is only may.
